I'm Jimmy
I've always been passionate about cars and helping people, making the transition to rideshare driving a natural fit. My journey began as a curious kid working on cars, and through hard work, a bit of luck, and the kindness of many, I turned that passion into a successful career. During my time in corporate America, I honed my skills in customer satisfaction, strategic performance management, and innovative solution development. After years of guiding operational teams and driving strategic initiatives, I decided to bring my expertise directly to the roads. At Hotei Rides, I blend my professional background with a personal touch, ensuring that every ride is not just a journey, but a pleasant experience.
My Story
My background is a bit non-traditional; the structure of school and I were not a great fit when I was younger. However, I excelled in hands-on learning. I essentially learned my first career in auto mechanics through the kindness of older techs who took the time to teach me. It turned out I had a decent aptitude for that, and really most things automotive. By the time I was in my mid-20s, I was managing an independent repair shop.
In my late 20s, I found my way to JMFamily Enterprises, and that partnership worked out so well I spent the next 25 years there. During this time, I continued to focus on helping others by mentoring and developing associates, creating and implementing innovative solutions to improve processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction remained a top priority.

Transitioning to rideshare driving allowed me to bring my passion for helping others to a new level. Every ride is an opportunity to provide a safe, reliable, and friendly experience for my passengers. I take pride in making sure that each journey is comfortable and enjoyable, whether it’s a quick trip across town or a long ride. I'm also passionate about identifying ways to improve the rideshare experience and I am sure there will be more on that front soon.
